Mr. Bruce C. Coles serves as the Executive Advisor to Gryphon Investors. He focuses on business services. Mr. Coles served as the President of MACTEC Engineering & Consulting, Inc., an operating unit of Mactec Inc. until May 2008. Mr. Coles served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Mactec, Inc. During his 39 years in the Engineering and Construction Industry, Mr. Coles also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Stone & Webster Inc. He served ... as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Law Companies Group, Inc. (LAW). He served as the Chairman of the Board of Mactec Inc. He served as The Chairman of the Board of Stone & Webster Inc. Mr. Coles serves on the Board of Councilors of the Carter Center, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Co-chair of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Environmental and Energy Committee and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors. He served as Director of Mactec Inc. He has served as Senior Executive Group (SEG) of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), Chairman of the Board of the Civil Engineering Research Foundation (CERF), Chairman of the Committee on Strategic Initiatives for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Chairman of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee for ASCE, and Chairman of the Industry Advisory Council for the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Mr. Coles is a fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering as well as The Moles. In 1997, Mr. Coles received the Accreditation Board for Engineering Technology’s President’s Award, and in 2001 he received the American Society of Civil Engineers’ President’s Medal. He taught in the University’s civil engineering department, and he received the Distinguished Engineer Award from the University’s College of Engineering in October 1990. Mr. Coles earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Maine.
